FAILE: Between the Sheets

The first museum exhibition in the Netherlands of the renowned artist duo FAILE. FAILE has been a leading force in street art for 25 years. The exhibition includes both new and archival works: original prints and graphic compositions on paper and textile. Especially for the museum, they created a new installation of three impressive fabric columns, which will be on permanent display in the STRAAT collection from September 27 onwards.

FAILE emerged from the same urban environment that gave rise to graffiti culture, but introduced a fresh visual language—illegal and poetic, reflective and accessible.

Patrick McNeil (1975) and Patrick Miller (1976) started 25 years ago. Their work has been featured in major solo and group exhibitions at institutions including the Brooklyn Museum and Tate Modern. Between the Sheets reflects on their early years in the streets and the lasting influence this has had on their studio practice. From stencil campaigns and pasted posters to monoprints, handmade prints, and immersive installations.

The exhibition will be on view from September 27, 2025, through January 18, 2026, in the Mezzanine Space of the STRAAT Museum and is included with a regular museum admission.

Awesome. To see all the different styles, the stories and the artistic and creative "paintings" gives you a whole new perspective of "Graffiti".

One of our favorite museums to visit. Always new pieces and the work is incredible.

Amazing. The sheer space and size of the art is astonishing, not to mention the variety and depth of the artists. 10/10 would go back.
