Brazilian Soul: STRAAT x NALATA
Brazilian Soul originates from the renowned international street art festival NALATA in São Paulo. Showcasing monumental works by influential Brazilian artists, the exhibition brings the vibrant energy and rich urban heritage of NALATA to Amsterdam.

Over the past five years, the NALATA Festival has grown into a leading platform for urban art in Latin America. With a strong focus on urban transformation and making art accessible, more than 64 works have been created in the public space of São Paulo.

In 2024, NALATA joined forces with STRAAT to present a pop-up version of the STRAAT Museum in São Paulo, showcasing works by forty Brazilian artists. The collaboration continues in Amsterdam with a special exhibition. NALATA curator Luan Cardoso has selected ten artists who previously took part in the festival in São Paulo.

The exhibition offers an introduction to the Brazilian street art scene. It explores themes of identity, the body, territory, social critique, and spirituality. Brazilian Soul will be on view in the main hall of the STRAAT Museum from August 15 through October 31, 2025. The exhibition is included with a regular museum ticket.

Brazilian Soul is made possible by the Embassy of Brazil in The Hague, as part of STRAAT’s Summer of Brazilian Street Culture program.
