Have you always dreamt of being a street artist? Do you want to get to know the techniques to make your very own piece? Then join one of our workshops!
Experience what it's like to work with a spray can yourself! We’ll start with a brief explanation of the use of spray cans and the various techniques. What does it take to create your own piece? And how do you paint the perfect outline? Then, it’s time to get busy yourself on the large shipping containers next to the museum. Our experienced workshop instructor will provide tips and tricks. Don't forget to take a photo of your own masterpiece at the end!
The workshops take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM and from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM. Available only from May through September—please note that exceptions apply! You can find all available dates in the booking system's calendar.
Between 17 July and 22 August, the workshops will also take place on Thursdays and Fridays.

Get to know stencil art! Create your own stencil design or choose from existing templates. During the workshop, you'll receive your own tote bag worth €10, on which you'll apply your unique design.

Celebrate your birthday with a graffiti workshop at STRAAT! During this workshop, kids will learn to work with spray cans step by step. They’ll start by sketching their own design and then create a unique artwork – on canvas and on a large shipping container, just like real graffiti artists! The workshop takes place outdoor. In case of bad weather, we’ll move to a covered or indoor space, using water-based spray paint or regular paint.

Celebrate your birthday creatively at STRAAT with a colourful collage workshop! In this workshop, kids explore the world of collage and street art. Using magazines, fabrics, glitter, googly eyes, and more, they’ll create their own artwork full of imagination and colour. We start with an inspiration tour through the exhibition, followed by a hands-on session in the museum’s education space. At the end, everyone takes home a unique, self-made piece of art.
