Have you spotted this Oostenrijk coach? Since the opening of the STRAAT Museum in 2020, the tour bus company has brought many groups to the NDSM wharf. About time we gave one of their coaches a makeover. In collaboration with artist Farid Rueda and GoedSign from Woerden, an Oostenrijk coach was transformed into a moving artwork.

Theft and love

The artwork on this coach is by Mexican artist Farid Rueda. The original piece was created by Farid in 2018 at the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam with spray paint and latex paint.

Farid's work has a clear link to Mexico. In Theft and Love, a lion and eagle are fused together, referencing the pre-Hispanic gods. "I want museum visitors to feel a small piece of Mexico in their hearts," says Farid Rueda.

Theft and love is included in the collection of the STRAAT Museum, the museum for street art and graffiti. STRAAT Museum displays more than 180 artworks by 170+ artists.
