Tinho, an artist from São Paulo, began his journey in graffiti at a young age, using the city as his canvas—an approach shared by many artists of his generation. He later pursued formal training in painting, a medium he would come to emphasize in his practice. Over time, he expanded his work to include photography and installations, often featuring recurring characters that have been with him since the beginning of his career.
His Boneco de Pano (Cloth Doll) is an expression of affection and artisanal resistance, made from repurposed fabric scraps, each symbolizing a human experience. In contrast to mass-produced industrial toys that promote consumption and disposability, these unique handmade dolls are true analog relics in an increasingly digital world.
