Power imbalance is at the core of the socially engaged art of Dale Grimshaw, who is closely involved with the Free West Papua movement. Influenced by his background in fine art, tagging and woodcut prints, the English artist paints powerful images. His colorful style exhibits a painterly energy achieved through gestural marks held together by detailed focal points.
