American artist Chor Boogie is inspired by the things people learn from everyday interactions. The artist particularly enjoys the elements that connect people on a mystical level. He is deeply moved by the bond between body, mind and soul, which is why his work focuses largely on the five elements that make human existence possible: ether, earth, fire, air and water.

Modern Hieroglyphics - Within employs the artist’s iconic stained-glass style as well as his typical references to the balance of opposites – in this work, the balance between life and death. As with most of his creations, it is strongly rooted in the correlation between senses, soul and the five elements. This piece also features another iconic Chor motif – his Boogie Bird – which appears at bottom of the composition.
