Cement Eclipses

Isaac Cordal works with sculpture, installations and photography in public and exhibition spaces. His series Cement Eclipses began as a nomadic project in 2006 and is still in progress. The small figurines—typically grey-suited businessmen or anonymous bureaucrats measuring just 15–25 cm—are installed in cracks, gutters, rooftops, or other overlooked corners, and then photographed to complete the work. These scenes serve as metaphors for contemporary social issues, exploring themes of power, alienation, bureaucracy, climate change, and human vulnerability. Isaac invites us to reconsider the invisible costs of modern society and the fragility of human existence.
